New York State Old Time Fiddlers Association

The New York State Old Time Fiddlers Association (NYSOTFA) is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and perpetuating the traditional art of old-time fiddling and its associated dances. Founded to keep the rich heritage of New York State fiddling alive across the state, the organization connects musicians, listeners, and historians through a shared passion for community-based old-time fiddle music.

The organization proudly operates the North American Fiddlers Hall of Fame and Museum in Osceola, NY, which serves as a central hub for performances, historical archives, and musical gatherings. Through its various regional chapters and statewide events, NYSOTFA ensures that traditional fiddle music continues to be passed down and enjoyed by future generations.

Central Chapter Focus & Local Performances

The Central Chapter is dedicated to celebrating and preserving the rich musical heritage of Central New York in proud support of the New York State Old Time Fiddlers Association. The Central Chapter meets the third Friday of the month for a brief business meeting followed by a friendly jam session. The public and musicians are always welcome to attend and join in.

To keep these traditional community sounds thriving for modern audiences, we regularly share our music across the region. You can find us performing at the North American Fiddlers Hall of Fame in Osceola, NY, as well as at various community centers, parks, and festivals.
